Basildon Chemicals have a select, high quality range of fermentation process defoamers that have served the Food, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology markets for many years. The nature of these industries results in demand for products of an incredibly high standard; something Basildon has done since 1971.

There are several areas of pharmaceutical production which require products to control foaming throughout the duration of the process. Antibiotic, Enzyme and other fermentation processes are the most common with Antifoam 86/013 as the antifoam of choice for this niche application. It is designed to give excellent all-round process control, is sterilisation stable and is also available in a kosher grade where required (BC 98/007K).

Antifoam FD20PK	Food and Kosher quality antifoam emulsion containing 20% silicone. Used in beer brewing and general food applications.
Antifoam FD30K	Food and Kosher quality antifoam emulsion containing 30% silicone. Used in fermentation and general food applications.
Antifoam FD50K	Food and Kosher quality antifoam emulsion concentrate, containing 50% silicone. Used in alcohol fermentation and for dilution to lower concentration.
Antifoam FDK	Food and Kosher quality antifoam emulsion containing 10% silicone
Antifoam FG50	Food quality antifoam emulsion concentrate, containing 50% silicone
Powder Antifoam 2527	Powder based antifoam for use in food and industrial applications.
Simethicone Antifoam C100LV	Simethicone C100LV (EP & USP compliant) is a 100% active low viscosity, low volatile silicone antifoam specially designed for soft gel capsule dosage forms where an easy to fill compound for pharmaceuticals is desirable.
Simethicone Antifoam PD30	Simethicone Emulsion USP. A 30% active silicone antifoam emulsion for pharmaceutical applications.
