Our various simethicone antifoams and dimethicone fluids have been used by companies around the world for many years and are fully compliant with the EP or USP monograph.

There are several areas of pharmaceutical production which require products to control foaming throughout the duration of the process. Antibiotic production, High Density Cell Culture and other fermentation processes are the most common and Antifoam 86/013 is an antifoam designed to give excellent all-round process control in such applications.

Antifoam 86/013 complies with FDA regulations, is sterilisation stable and completely inert. It is most commonly used in the production of penicillin where it is used world-wide. It has established a reputation as a market leader in this application where it provides control over the process and improves both quality and quantity of yield. It is also available in a Kosher grade where required.
